📚 Finished reading Timeline by Michael Crichton.

A guy inexplicably turns up dead in the middle of a desert, his internals abnormally altered in unusual ways.

A group of historians are helping a shadowy private company “ITC” excavate an old French town when they find their boss Professor Johnston’s glasses in part of the ruin that really can’t have been touched for hundreds of years.

Oh, and the Professor hasn’t been since since he went to ITC’s headquarters last night…hmm. I think someone needs rescuing! But from where? Or…when?

An excellent thriller from a guy that until just a few years back I somehow didn’t realise had written much beyond Jurassic Park. Turns out he has, very famously, written a whole lot more, much of which I hope to read.
