📚 Finished reading The Hugo Winners 1963-1967 edited by Isaac Asimov.
The Hugo Awards are awards given to writers of the best science-fiction or fantasy stories each year. This book collects some of the winners of the shorter stories categories from the years given in the title.
I had no special preference for the years 1963 to 1967. Nor any special dislike. My choice was more driven by finding the book for free at the doctor’s surgery.
Unfortunately I didn’t get on well with the first story. But I persevered through the others and the rest were pretty interesting. It’s certainly worth a pick-up if you too unexpectedly find a publicly available copy.
Isaac Asimov writes a little blurb before each effort. He certainly sounds like quite the character.
