🎶 Listened to I’m camera . by Sofia Isella.

This is a dark, kind of creepy EP from singer/poet Sofia. Real ominous, occasionally whispered lyrics. It must be quite the experience to go see a live gig.

Confronting some of my favourite political concerns; surveillance, technology, the horrendous sides of the experience of being a woman and so on.

Forgive the lengthy lyrics quote, but who can’t recognise this as an especially insightful take on the world we are in, or at least heading to:

The humans are gray They all act the same They have metallic-glossed brains They respond to dings And bells and rings

They’re a dog being whipped by a screen And they thought that they had the reigns But their creation has them trained And they’re being controlled by what they made

We want the humans to grind We want the engines to sing We want machines to be human We want humans to be machines

Kind of hard to imagine her as a support act for Taylor Swift, but that did happen.
