Much of the vibe was apparently inspired or influenced by lead singer Rhian falling in love, also happening to be her first queer relationship. But don’t worry, they didn’t really lose their edge. Turns out that you don’t have to be miserable to write top tier music.

Also, it took me longer than it should have to realise that the word mangetout can be conveniently split to form the phrase “man get out”.
